Do you know that feeling that you just want to take a break from your daily life?
Well, thanks to the cheap flights of Ryanair everything is possible 😊
I like to visit places where I have never been to but there are still so many that I need to see…
Eventually I had chosen for Valencia.
I also decided to travel alone.
A lot of people ask me if I’m not scared or bored to travel alone but actually traveling alone gives me even a bigger satisfaction because it feels like going on a adventure + you can meet so much interesting (local) people, something that you probably will do less if you travel with company…

I was hesitating to book a hostel, hotel or a bed and breakfast but I decided to take an even bigger adventure and to travel with Couchsurfing!
“Couchsurfing is a service that connects members to a global community of travellers. Use Couchsurfing to find a place to stay or share your home and hometown with travellers.”
It was the first time for me that I used this service and I must say that it even went better than expected 😊
So what did I do these 5 days?
On Saturday night I went to eat in a cute little traditional restaurant named “Maria Mandiles” After that I went out to a club named “Committee” (I don’t remember that much so I will just skip that part)
On Sunday I went to eat in a little village named “El Palmar” in a traditional restaurant to try the typical Paella.
Of course I visited the most remarkable attraction “City of the arts and sciences”. It was very cloudy that day (mid-November) but it still looked beautiful.
On sunday I also ate a very good pizza in the restaurant named “Il ghiottone Napoletano”. You will need to search very hard to find a better pizzeria than that one 🙂
On Monday I walked around in the city, did some shopping, ate very good food and drank very good wine (of course)…

On Tuesday I walked again a lot in the city, I went to the top of a church by stairs (not so bad to do some excercise after all that food and wine), I also visited the “Mercado Central” which is a big market with fresh food.

Wednesday was a very sad day because it was the day before I had to go back home…
It was still very fun though!
I can recommend you to go to the restaurant “San Tommaso”, their pasta is delicious!
In the evening I went to a traditional sushi restaurant “Tora” (even the menu is in Japanese), I spend a lot of time in a very cosy bar with shisha pipes (I don’t remember the name, the shisha was quite strong).
Valencia is such a lovely city, there is no time to be bored there!
I hope I can show you more next time 🙂
Thank you for reading my blog post! Xxx
