Gozo & Comino Island

During my holidays in Malta I visited the sister islands of Malta: Gozo & Comino

Steeped in myth, Gozo is thought to be the legendary Calypso’s isle of Homer’s Odyssey – a peaceful, mystical backwater (visitmalta.com).

The boattrip with a Ferry from the village Cirkewwa to Gozo takes about 20 minutes (A retour ticket costs only €5 & you have to pay when you return to the island of Malta).

In Gozo I overnight in the beautiful townhouse “Theresa ” in Qala.

The charming streets of Gozo:

In my opinion you can find the best restaurants near the Harbour. Sicilia Bella & Ta’Tona overwelmed me with their fish dishes.

Gozo is a very beautiful but quiet island. It is a perfect island to relax, to do hiking and to chill at the beach.

Victoria (also known as Rabat) is the capital of Gozo. It’s known for its medieval Citadel, with fortified walls.

From Gozo I made a daytrip to Comino. The trip took only about 15 minutes.

The crystal clear water will make you daydream! (Too cold for swimming in April)

Within 3/4 hours you can hike all over the island.

I hope you liked my blogpost!

Stay tuned for the next ones xxx
