Back to my roots – Corfu Island

As far as I remember, I have been going to the island Corfu since I was five years old.

Almost every summer I have been relaxing on the beaches of this Ionian Island.

Here are some insider tips that I would like to share with you!

Notos beach

Notos beach is a small beach at the East coast of Corfu, nearby Pethriti and Boukari. It’s a lovely quiet beach with an abudence of flowers, fruit trees and a beautiful cove.

Petriti

Petriti is a little village on the east coast. A number of fish tavernas lie along the shore here.

The sea side of Petriti:

Messonghi

This is a small peaceful resort. There are a lot of restaurants and bars where you can enjoy and relax.

Kavos

The party animals that are reading this will love Kavos! This is the entertainment and night life centre of Corfu.

You will not find the most beautiful beaches here but the scenery is pretty nice.

Palaiokastritsa

Palaiokastritsa is on the west coast of Corfu and has one of the most beautiful scenic views and beaches.

Unfortunately I don’t have any more recent pictures of this place 😦

Corfu Town

Corfu town, especially in its oldest part, is one of the most charming and romantic places of the island. The architecture has a Venetian grace and elegance.

Stay tuned for my next posts!
