How is it possible?
Without knowing I booked a surprise holiday in Greece on an auction site (Reizendeals.nl)I pushed on the button to participate with the contest to “win” a holiday of €200. Little did I know that I would win and that I was obligated to book it afterwards 😅I did not know that putting an offer means = buying the trip.. My bad I guess 😅 I had not read the small letters in the conditions. But than I received a mail of the conditions agency tho.. Suddenly I knew I had to book it 🙂
In the end, it worked out well. And I guess that nothing happens by coincidence and there was a reason to travel again!
I descided to travel with my dad. And the destination that we got was CHALKIDIKI!
Chalkidiki is a region in northern Greece known for its jutting peninsulas, which feature Mediterranean forests that give way to sandy beaches in sheltered bays.
The name of the hotel were we slept was “Medusa”. This is a small family hotel in the village Kriopighi. In my opinion this hotel is very good located if you would like to relax and enjoy the silence and peace.
The view from the balconies and beach bar are amazing there!
Although that we went in autumn to Greece, the weather was still very pleasant. Good enough to relax at the beach and pool everyday!
I even slept all week outside because my dad snores too laud 😅 Not bad tho, sleeping beneath the starry sky💕
The beach down the hill of this hotel was not that nice tho..
Most of the time we went to the beach in Kallithea (which is like 10 minutes driving from our hotel Medusa) There are some very nice beach bars in Kallithea. My favorite bar was ” Papua” (see my pictures below 😎)
With a rental car, we went to different villages every night to enjoy the Greek food.(Of course we did not missed the wine :))
Further more we enjoyed some cocktails and we smoked sisha in some cozy bars.
When it was a bit cloudy, we went to Thessaloniki (which is like 1 hour driving from the hotel)
Thessaloniki is a Greek port city on the Thermaic Gulf of the Aegean Sea. Evidence of Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman history remains. The airport of Thessaloniki, is the easiests one the reach Chalkidiki. On our last day we descided to drive to Stavros, which was on the other side of Chalkidiki.I really loved the “mountain-view” here. The beach was not bad either.Oh yes and we did drank a lot of cafe frappes…Hope you enjoyed my blog!Yassas!
